I created my business in 2020 to expand support for community builders. We live in a complex, changing world. Our ability to make sense of these changes and meet emerging needs is critical to ensuring relevance and impact in mission-driven work. Over the course of 20 years working in the nonprofit sector, I have consistently observed the benefits of resourcing activities that support proactive change: community engagement, research, planning, piloting, learning, strategic resource development, capacity-building, and scaling promising practices. Through custom engagements, I support people and organizations working towards greater equity, relevance, and impact.

Until 2020, I served as chief strategy officer for Mural Arts Philadelphia. In this role, I was responsible for integrating and advancing resource development, strategic and fiscal planning, board engagement, research and evaluation, and program/project development.

Specific accomplishments at Mural Arts include:

  • Overseeing the launch of the Mural Arts Institute, a new program that advances research on and development of community-based public art practices in the U.S. and abroad.

  • Spearheading Mural Arts’ 2019-2024 strategic plan.

  • Envisioning and resourcing strategic initiatives, including Monument Lab: A Public Art & History Exhibition, Site/Sound: Revealing the Rail Park, Open Source: A Citywide Public Art Exhibition, Color Me Back: A Same Day Work Program, and Mural Arts' community storefronts model.

  • Charting and resourcing the organization’s growth from a $7.5M to a $12M operation.

In addition to my work commitments, I serve as governance clerk and board secretary of the Scattergood Foundation, which supports innovation in systems in order to drive improved behavioral health outcomes. I have a BA in Sociology from Swarthmore College and an MA in Arts Policy & Administration from The Ohio State University, where I was a Graduate Fellow. I began my career at the Fleisher Art Memorial, a community school for arts education, where I served on the education and development teams.

I am based in Philadelphia, U.S.A. and Berlin, Germany.
